About the Gala

The TouchOfRed virtual gala is our premier fundraising event for the year. This year we took a spin off the traditional Gala, as we wanted our community of 3.5 million neighbors to join us, get involved and have more than one night to participate. So we are having a party for the entire month of April!

Honoring
The 2009 gala honoree is Vincent A. Forlenza, President of BD, a global medical technology company headquartered in Franklin Lakes. The American Red Cross and BD have partnered locally and around the world in many life changing projects that include the elimination of measles in African and Asian countries and funding support for disaster relief operations after the 9/11 terrorist attack and Hurricane Katrina.
